DISTANCE
LEARNING PROGRAM
In order to
provide the highest quaility education to investigators across the country,
The CDITC has developed and made available The Component Method course
of study as a distance learning program.
The Component Method has
been adopted as the basic philosophy and methodology for training and
education of criminal defense investigators. We believe that by establishing
a standard we are able to promote a sense of unification within the
discipline. The completion of a training program certifying the investigator
in the Component Method is a requirement for CDITC Board Certification.
Applicants seeking to become a Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator
must successfully complete an accredited course of study in the Component
Method. This distance program is fully accredited by the CDITC and is
equal to a forty (40) hour course of study in accordance with the Board
Certification requirement.
This is the first step toward becoming a Board Certified Criminal
Defense Investigator and a member of an elite group of professional
investigators. The tuition for the program of study is $ 360.00 US*
and includes the textbook, Uncovering Reasonable Doubt,
the DVD "Uncovering Reasonable Doubt: The Seminar" hosted
by the author, Brandon A. Perron, assignment-training documents, and
research source (the tuition is $300.00 for those who already have the
text and DVD). The training has been categorized into four assignments.
Each assignment is followed by a multiple-choice test. Upon completion
of the assignment section you must call the training coordinator to
request a test. The test will be emailed to you. You must notify the
training coordinator upon receipt of the test. At that time you will
be given 24 hours to complete the test and return it to the CDITC for
correction. All tests are open book. A one page essay is also required
as part of Assignment 2. The final exam involves a 3-5 page scholarly
paper addressing the role of the criminal defense investigator. You
have 12 weeks to complete the program. Extensions are available upon
request. Upon successful completion of the course of study a Certificate
of Training will be provided.
Enrolling is as easy as sending your personal information, Full name,
address, telephone number, and e-mail address, along with your payment
in the form of a check or money order in the amount of $360.00 payable
to the CDITC. Once your enrollment information and tuition payment are
received, we will mail you your first assignment, Textbook, and DVD.
